Popstars/ Cape @ TV3

Pop group Cape was the result of skilled and driven market forces in the Norwegian television and the record industry. Through a collaboration between TV3 and NUI (Norwegian Entertainment Industry) was five youths chosen from among 1104 candidates from across the country who had signed up to audition. The five got the chance to get his big dream of becoming popstars fulfilled - through television series Popstars on TV3, with releases on Blue Jersey Records, a subdivision of NUI Records.

The five selected: Alf Gunnar "Alfie" Nilsen from Trondheim, Mette Olsson from Stavanger, Phung Hang from Brummundal, Kjetil Tefke from Moss and Hanne-Karine Sørby from Porsgrunn. In January 2001, the five members gathered in Oslo, where they worked for several months with dance moves, exercises with singing teacher, styling and photography, meetings with manager and record company, deals with the press, and of course the studio recordings. There was also time for a week-long detour to Cape Town (hence the group name), where also the music video for their single "Tic Tac" was recorded.

The first result was the single "Tic Tac", which went straight into first place on VG. During the year Cape launched several singles, and in june the album Capability came out. The songs were provided by some of the nation's leading hit-composers, and the two main producers Ken Ingwersen and Jon Willy Rydningen - which for the occasion were internationally baptized as Ken & Jon.

My Funky Soul

My Funky Soul

After years of waiting and even more, the EP "My Funky Soul" is finally out on Spotify and iTunes. In fact, it has taken a whole 16 years since the record was finished until it finally is downloadable and free to stream / listened to. I’m almost embarrassed, but now after a long long wait and then some more waiting and dust brushing from old hard drives. It’s finally out on the big Internet. In fact, it's been almost 20 years since I started writing the first song on this EP, let's hope it doesn't take 20 new ones until the next one;)

I would have been immensely pleased if you wanted to download, stream or buy my music. So that maybe so many years after this was made, I could finally pay a few bucks to the musicians who were playing at the project back in the days when it it was made. Not least so the next project sees the light of day soon and not in the next 20 years.

Here are the links if you want to listen, download, buy, share or stream. Feel free to follow me on Spotify or iTunes as well, and you will get updates when new music, possibly concerts and other relevant stuff happens. Not least, it increases the chance of this being streamed a bit more than by just the ones I know.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards
